Cold

It's been really cold here in Ohio that past few mornings! I don't have a far drive to work, so I try to let the SS warm up before leaving, but it seems like it takes longer than my past vehicles to start blowing warm air. Once it's warmed up it works great but it takes awhile. Just wondering if anyone else notices this? I thought being a small motor it would warm fast. My trailblazer SS warmed up a lot faster than this. Guess i'll have to let it idle longer!

You will find that smaller engines like the 2.0 SS will NOT warm up very quick just idling. You will actually warm up quicker driving, as the turbo helps get the heat going pretty quick. Thats what I've found with mine, it actually gets the guage moving up pretty quick once you are under way. It was the same way with my Turbo Buick years ago, that was the fastest warming up car I've had, but only if driving. Although they have remote start available on cars now, its still thought that starting and driving is a better practice now days.

I noticed the same thing with my 2.2. Seems to take much longer than my Explorer did.
