2 words..... REMOTE START!!!! here in TX the lowest its been so far is high 30's low 40's over night.... I just remote start the SS 3-5 min before I leave and its good to go and I dont have to sit in a cold car and wait for it to warm up!!

I was thinking the same thing. When I drive my F250 Diesel, it takes about 4 times as long to warm up as the HHR.
I have noticed that the small engine on the SS won't stay hot at idle with the heat on high. I was sitting by the lake eating lunch and listening to the radio with the heat on high and it dropped from 192 to 170...

MY HHR SS heats up a LOT faster than my Grand Prix. Interestingly my Avalanche heats up the fastest.
