common problems

yes but its not alot. Nothing else exists that is this size, price and has an automatic (thats fast or very quick anyhow)
I drove one b4 and was impressed. But that's easily done having a 173hp dailr driver and getting in an HHR-SS--even an automatic.
Have Mazda 6 V6 on my list and Lexus IS300 but both are far slower.

Just remember, just because people here have issues does not mean all HHRs have the issues. Most people don't give praise, only criticize.
(Not saying that's a bad thing, but out of all the HHRs out there many do not have problems)

Well my car has been darn near perfect for a year and a half and I have had to be over critical to find anything wrong. So I want to complain I got a good car and for everyone to know.
It is true the silent majority rule here. Most people have has no issue or small issues that most dealers resolved fast and easy.
The only major issue on the SS as a whlole was the brake vaccume issue that some went overboard on. Most of us knew it was wise to let the vaccme build for 20 seconds before you drove off. We also knew they were working to resolve the issue and that it takes time to design test and have the parts made.
In the end GM came up with a fix that not only addressed the 2008 SS but also all the future HHR SS as well as the Sky, Cobalt SS and Solstice.
