Question Cost to insure SS?

I am curious as to what others are paying to insure your SS? I know there are a lot of factors that can influence the cost (ie drivers record, location, miles traveled annualy and deductibles), but I think I am paying too much...

For full coverage insurance with $500 deductible on collision I am paying $369 every 6 months. I like the $59 6/mo. payment for comprehensive much better when it is in storage! With 3 other vehicles, my homeowners, and my snowmobile insurance through them I would think I would get a better rate than that.

I am 49 years old with a clean drivers record and have reported driving less than 7,500 mi. anually. That is realistic now, but it sure wasn't when I first got it! Anyway, they are sending me questionairs about vehicle usage and I have a feeling there are going to try and raise my premium if they find out I have 47K on the car in less than two years..

I'd be interested in hearing any comparable figures or suggestions from any others on the subject.

Ouch! I feel your pain there JJ! My son is 23 and I think he is paying about that for his 09 Malibu also. His record isn't squeaky clean, but not too bad either. His last accident was about 3 years ago with my '00 Grand Prix.

I am not even going to respond to the questionairs they are sending out. I don't think I should have too... It's invasion of my privacy!

A non response will net the same result: an increase in your policy. If you are driving over 7500 miles annually you will lose the low mileage deduction. I currently have both cars receiving that deduction.

I'm 56 (yeah for me!) and pay $788/yr, $200 deductible for comp and collision, $50 glass, $50 towing and $30k/$300k liability. No mileage limit. Clean record. 08 SS. We do have our three other cars and house through the same company.

It's pretty much the same as it was for my 04 GTO. I figured it would be a tad less.
