Easiest way to spot a 2008 with LSD?
Still on the hunt for the right SS. Really want limited slip, prefer the smaller brakes for winter wheel fitment.
Is there a simple way to spot LSD on a 2008 or do I have to look for the RPO G85? Obviously on a 2009+ the brakes are easy to spot.
thanks

the brakes, the vin, and it has to be a 5-speed. Also, it did not release to the public until mid 08. So look on Drivers side door, anything made in '07 or up to May 08 will not be LSD equipped. Also, not available on Automatic, unless you buy a Quaif LSD chunk out of Atlanta for the T45($500)

Look for G85 in the glovebox on the build sticker. It's easy, and you can do it without tearing anything apart. It's how I found mine, and how the Ford dealer I bought it from didn't know what he had !!!

Decoded the vin through work prior to buying.
I ask you this as I do have an '08, 5-speed, LSD, standard brakes and I've been considering listing mine for sale. It is currently being stored away from the elements by the way, and is extremely clean condition wise, I seeked it out myself. If it wasn't mint, I wouldn't own it. PM me if interested.

first answer that popped into my head for that question was "look for the one that has understeered in the snow into a ditch".
In inclement weather, you really gotta watch the throttle in the corners with FWD LSD and 260HP!
Does anyone know what *kind* of LSD the factory used? Clutch plate, Auburn cone-clutch, Torsen or ?

OK I've resisted for far too long, my first thought of an answer to this was....
It'll be the one with the driver screaming about being chased by killer Giraffes while he sits naked in a tree.
But then I thought "No Mike, LSD jokes are bad".
After all its 2012 and how many people would get humor based on a bad acid trip, so kids....stay away from Lysergic acid diethylamide.
