engine code p0335

My 08 SS 5spd-12020 miles- threw code p0335 and required a update reflash . Now it doesn't seem as fast or gutty . Is this possible or is it just me being extra fussy in regards to having it to the dealer ? We have had good service in the past from them . No issues till now . No stage 1 on this one .--Bob

what I have found is that it only goes to 8/10 psi boost now in 1st gear! Before it went to 16/18 psi in 1st gear . 2 gear on up still gets full boost but you can feel the computer or something cutting back at just under 10 psi. Feels like 1/4 or 1/3 of the bottom end power is gone ! Plus once today I punched it in 1st gear and it was just plain nothing-- just dead--nothing-- but came right back-no code. What's up with this? Is this GM idea of how to reprogram it to save it on warranty! I want my power back! I'm calling the service manager on Monday am and going back in in the afternoon. Has any one else had this crap happen ?--Bob

I thought 1st was limited to 6lbs in 1st, but I am probably wrong. I know I've never seen double digit boosts in 1st though ( 2009 SS Panel 5 speed )

Is yours a stick or automatic ? Mine is an 08 5spd manual and always buzzed up to 16/18 psi in 1st gear. Low gear is so low that the psi comes up real quick and you had to watch the gauge carefully out of the corner of your eye. I do know the autos were a lot lower in 1st gear only. Maybe even the 09 may be lower. I have driven an 08 automatic and it was near the 10 psi area in 1st gear and full boost thru the rest of the gears that's why I special ordered and bought a stick with lsd. I have read that the auto psi in 1st was lowered to save the trany.--Bob

My 09 SS with 5-spd and LSD was about 7 psi in first from the factory
I would not want it any higher seems like you would just spin tires too much

My SS will hit about 13 psi in 1st, but at that psi the wheels are spinning, I rarly nail it in 1st, its just a waste of rubber, But 2nd on up , Well thats a diff. story.

Yes it "did-past tense". Now it hardly does ! 1st gear was a blast when you got traction ! Now my Focus ST,not boosted, that I traded in would take it thru 1st into 2nd .Doesn't seem to be the rev limiter. Just ckeched that today.--Bob

Well Monday night it made 15 psi in 1st gear, yes the tires did break loose . Tuesday morning it went to 12 psi and I had to back off the gas , still hadn't reached rev limiter ! Seems like an on and off problem . The dealer says to drive it a while . Tech says he thinks it is learning . I've already put near 300 mile on the reflashed updated program and think that should be enough. How long should it take ? Sounds like a load of crap to me ! Shouldn't it have known the boost limits on first fire up ? How is it limiting the boost other than the wastegate ? I don't hear the gate dumping anymore,,followed by the pop out of the exhaust .When the code happened it banged and popped out the back and front (somewhere up front-felt like it was right under my feet-wastegate?) Is there possibly an issue with the wastegate ? I was told there were some service bulletins out on the wastegate but don't know what they are .--Bob
