Ha - I just saw a Fiero yesterday, and it looked like it was in good shape. I too loved those cars. I'm just not sure I could fit in one nowadays. :)

I want the nicer look, seats, handling and power of the SS. I would be giving up my USB which i love but would gain XM which i miss from my previous car. I would also be losing the warranty as opposed to my LT which still has plenty remaining. Do any SS owners regret getting the SS? Are parts more expensive or harder to obtain? I have never owned a turbo...is reliability worse? In addition, I mountain bike so I have a hitch rack on the LT and apparently i can get a hitch for an SS but that would require minor lower bumper trimming which i'm not opposed to but if anyone has a photo i'd appreciate seeing it.

I welcome any advice. Thanks, Rod.
I did that exact upgrade. No regrets... in fact, happier.

Hey, just an update: I did go try to test drive the car. I say try because first, my buddy could not get the back door open to get in, the sales guy, sitting in the front pass. seat, told me that I was not unlocking the doors correctly! I asked him if he remembered me telling him 2 minutes earlier that I own the same car and that power door locks r not complicated for most of us. I then got out of the car and could not open it so the sales guy started yanking on the door pretty hard, I was telling him to stop before he pulls the handle off when it finally opened with a nasty screech. It closed again but would not re-open. So now I am behind the wheel, car running and I attempt to shift into drive but the lever would not budge and no, we were parked flat so I gave up, told him that I did not want this "GM Certified" car no matter what.

So I'll keep what I have and not get in more debt. I am however still trying to find a decent Fiero but it is not easy.

Thanks again for the help both for and against.

I would have walked away when the door wouldn't open,..

I have ridden in a SS wagon, Yes it's fast, but I prefer my 2LT Panel..

Find an SS with lower miles, I see some cool fiero's from time to time .
But not one i'd trade the SS for.
