I have the bracket (15253233) but its not installed either because I bought the car in Pennsylvania which does not require front plates either. I never installed it because it looked like the wrong bracket. It says its for the Saturn Vue (and suv). But if thats the right number Ill put it on.

No rivots came with mine and not instructions. Whats the best way to install it? Just screw it to the front plastic bumper and how does it go?... Groove top or bottom?

The brackets will say Chevy and Saturn on them as they will fit more than one car. My SS says Saturn Vue and Cobalt on it.

The best way is to rivets like GM supplied but many will justy take screws like the ones to hold the plate to the frame and just screw it on into the bumper with them. It is not as good of a grip but it works. I have never seen one come off but I would stick to the rivets.

I installed the bracket on my SS and because it is designed for several different vehicles, its not a perfect fit. When the top two holes of the license plate bracket are flush with the SS bumper, the bottom two holes of the bracket are about 1/2 inch from the bumper. I could have just left it with only the two rivets holding it. However all I did was slid two nuts between the bumper and the license plate bracket as spacers and secured the next two rivets.

Its a nice tight fit and no worry about a ticket for no license plate anymore.

I plan to do that as well.

Top 2 holes I riveted, but the bottom holes are 1/2" away from touching the bumper. For the time being I have the plate held on with just 2 rivets, but I plan to make spacers and use 2 more rivets.
