Has anyone upgraded the rotars yet?

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their rotars on their SS, i couldnt find a thread about it.......kinda getting frustrated with the way the stock ones keep acting. I have been looking but since the SS is the only model with all four discs i havent really been able to find anything

What problem are you experiencing? Mine are fine for the street, are you doing some form of competition with yours? I would think that a pad upgrade would be in order before replacing the roters though.

GM is notorious for using cheap rotors that warp quickly. It's legendary on the F-bodies. I went through three sets on my 98 Z28 until I upgraded to these Rotorpros cross-drilled and slotted ones. They stop the car really well, no fading and more importantly, no shimmying any more from getting warped. And they weren't expensive either. Very reasonable price.

Too bad they don't offer a model for the HHR specifically. Prolly not enough volume.

While I have read about problems on the early HHR rotors I haven't heard anything about problems with the HHR SS brakes.

Since GM is basically using the same parts as the Cobalt SS
just double check the rotor sizes..

I had a 99 Z28 that had some warped rotors, but my 2000 Z28 didn't have that problem.

nothing competition.....its just a catching/pulsing feel when i go to stop, only does it about once every 10 times i stop, but it does it sometimes in reverse too...its baically the same problem everyone is having with their lt's and ls's.....but the thing is my brother bought one too at the same time, we both got them from different dealerships and his is doing the same thing, maybe its just a Texas thing? lol

It sounds more like ABS sensors pulsating. Warped rotors are usually more consistent acting and will tug the steering wheel.
