29psi...I wish you lived closer so I could find out if that is a bunch of hot air. I've only got ~22psi to bring to the party. I'm Super Slow.

Northern Calif. is close relatively speaking, we are planning a trip to the XXX this Sunday, it would be cool if you came, it's the all chevy weekend !! Rain man is bringing the flames. I asked Vince for a little tweek, see if we can do that more often.

Much as I'd love to, my weekend falls on Tues/Wed. You are correct, I'm not too far away in Norcal. Maybe someday I'll have to take a fieldtrip.

Note the factory will only hit around 17 and the GM tune my hit around 25 PSI only. Other tunes can hit a little more but not much with out engine mods.

I experienced this when the exhaust solenoid went out... 30+ wicked boost for a while then cel.

We would have to ask gcsd, or ladybglover... I think he ran the stocker up to the 30psi limit, but it needed major timing tweaking, in the process, and lost about 250rpm at the top. But it put the car in the 375-400 range.

30psi on stock turbo is no good....... i HIGHLY recommend staying away from that. been there, done that, regret it.

maybe at the crank, definitely not at the wheels. only way you're doing that with the stock turbo is with cams & full E85 and that's with an extremely happy dyno.

This is my thinking also. By full E85, do you mean E47.5 or 100% E85 + higher flow fuel pump? I'm hoping for at least 300hp and a happy engine running E40 @ 22psi.

I didn't say it was good for the motor, I just said it had been done.

Rally what was your experience, running it out of breath, or did the impeler start scraping?

Breadfan these cars make 300 at the wheels pretty easily, stock fuel pump and injectors are good to 500+ I thought, because of the direct injection.

Yeah, I figured reasonable expectations yeild resonable results. Getting to blow lots of air is easy, getting it to use it right is more challenging. There seems to be a sweet spot for good power and if I can get the air volume to follow that curve perfectly I get the best response. I know that 10psi, part throttle now feels like it did stock with the pedal on the floor.
