I think I can hear it....I can hear the fuel pump, then hear the car start when I turn it over. I can hear it shut off if it makes any sense???

does it almost sound like the A/C compressor "click"??? I also heard that.

FWIW I have no brake issues whatsoever

 

I have a small air pump (for bike tires) that I plug into a car accessory outlet that look and sounds exactly like this pump. It will make a brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise and then it should quit. It quits because it is no longer needed. If you squat down at the front bumper and have someone else start it you should hear it.
