I've been thinking of selling/trading my SS

That pretty funny!
Seriously what did you expect when you bought it? In your defense, I'm keeping mine, but I have been looking for something new or diffrent myself. I will proo-booo-llly buy another SS, 5sp this time, though.
A little off thread but, I know there are a couple of guys out there waiting for their 100k to end and into the shop for a big motor and RWD they go.
I'm toying with 2 ideas, either the big motor myself, or... the HHR makes a great plattform for turning it into a back-yard hybrid-there is plenty of room in back for some batteries, and there is no major junk under the rear-end to stop from adding motors/generators. there is a guy I know running a Mazda Miata purely electrical-deep-cycle marine batteries(12@400lbs) and getting about 40-50 miles on a charge. he is running a single 300hp 300tq @ 0rpm motor /generator. I think he has about 5000 into it. Imangine this setup in conjunction with the motor, even with the 500lbs+ weight
Sorry to rant Sneezy just showing you options,

1) 5.0L Mustang- 412 bhp, 1/4 mile in under 13 seconds-sweet
2) C5 Z06 Vette- find one for low $20k range- 02 Z06- 405 hp-1/4 mile in the 12.5 second range
IMO- you can never substitute a turbo 4 for a purebred 8 cyl engine.....try as they might, a 5'9" man will never be 6' tall.
3) CTS-V- any year, the new ones are reasonable and with 556hp, how can you go wrong....I would own one if I didn't live in frickin' Canada with all the snow.
Distant 4th/5th place
4) Crossfire SRT6 (mainly because it is a Mercedes 3.2 underneath)- saw a nice one on Autotrader in Kansas for $15k with only 30k miles. 300+hp.
5) 2003 SVT Cobra- 390hp......however most still want big money for them...loose chasis, poor build quality, but easy to mod to 500+hp.

I've driven RWD cars in the past through winter and not had any issues. I always buy snows.
