There's no trim piece on the top edge. It does make them look like something is missing but that's the way they're made.
Here's a pic. Sorry it's not a clearer shot, but it's 6 am and inside my garage.

Thanks yeah mine looks the same. The replacement glass they used doesn't have the black boarder around it so it makes it look kind of off too. It's ppg glass which is pretty good but I noticed what looks like bubbles and whoever did the job scratched some of the paint inside that groove at the top. It just looks like something should be there to cover it up

Having a slight issue with the drivers door rubbing the side skirt as well as the rubber gasket. Got a buddy that works at a body shop going to look at it today. The door might just need a little alignment.

I'm heading out this morning to look at the drain, we got some big rain coming here in a couple hours

Went out and pulled the A-pillar and Visor off to peel back the headliner some to see what may be happening. I don't see any evidence on the roof or the drain hose of moisture. I ran water in both the drain and the front windshield and I can see water running down to the outside of the car. I am really stumped here at this point so I buttoned everything back up and I guess I will take it to Carmax first thing monday morning.

Another thing I noticed was a large gap in the corner of this windshield but when I poured water down that I get the same results of it flowing to the outside of the gasket in the door. One thing to mention though is that the drivers side door is off alignment. I didn't notice this when driving but my brother pointed it out.

It doesn't sit right on the rubber seal and it also hits the flat part of the side skirt and I can see where paint is already rubbed away. It's not off by much but even then I couldn't see how water would be getting in in that one spot right above the a-pillar.

Here's a picture of that gap on the windshield corner. I checked the passenger side and it looks like similar but not as gaping as this one is.

Since it's raining and my SS stays indoors on those days, I went in the garage and took a few door pics. Maybe they'll help you in trying to see where yours isn't lining up. Not much clearance when its right.

Don't you just hate it when something shows up just a couple of days after buying a car? I didn't have my 2008 SS a week before the plastic (or similar) clip on the sun roof screen broke. Don't really need the screen as I'm replacing it with a wind deflector unit when it warms up, but...

Love the color, don't see too many of them in Aqua Blue. I only have one in the HHR Registry.

Thanks for the pics George. Does your corner or the door rub against the skirt too? It kind of looks like dots really close.

We have some massive storms passing through right now. Once it clears I'm going to go see if it leaked anymore. I'm taking it to a buddy later to get his opinion on it. Personally if I can fix it up myself I would rather do that versus driving a loaner and have to make trips and time off work to carmax.

I just don't see where the water is coming in at.

No rubbing on mine.
What you see in my pics is probably road grime. I'm guilty of not washing my car for about a month now.

Finally had some time after the storm to sit with the car and ran across this. Drivers side under the steering wheel at the end of the dash.. Any clue what this is? There is no marks or words on it to identify what it is.

Had a beautiful day here today. Cleaned out the SS really well and removed that little box and it's wiring. It looks like it was left over alarm system stuff. I so no other remnants of alarm items (brain, modules, sensors, horn etc) So I assume it was removed and someone just left that in since it was buried in the dash.

Hopefully will get to put the headlights on next weekend if its nice and heading over to Safelight in the morning to see about the windshield. That is definitely my culprit of the leaking.
