I added the retractactable plate to mine and lost about an 1 1/2". I now have scraped it several times including my driveway. Once it was on uneven ground in a parking lot where a ramp went down.

Curbs, holes, speed bumps, uneven ground, driveway and parking lot enterances will all be possible damage areas and you will not know till you hit.

The LS and LT are fine but the SS overhang being so farther out makes it worse.

My Fiero has a standard non GT nose with the DGP air dam that hangs down on a large over hanging nose. I have scooped up gravel with that one already. It is not a daily driver but I can not lower the car without inflicting damage to it.

Also don't know if you drive in the snow or if your SS is a daily driver but in the winter anything over a couple inches will push snow. I have to watch and make sure it is not hard snow or ice.

Just something to think about. I just see so many cars in the midwest with busted front ends here.
Honestly though its like this with any lowered car or just low car period, My Camaro was a snow plow in the snow and it wasn't lowered. Its the price you pay if you want a lower/smaller car. Before i lowered my car we still had snow that was enough to make my car a snow plow. I have yet to scrape my SS bumpers With the eibach kit, but I am very very careful and take thing slow.

Im not worried about inclines or snow at all. You just have to take inclines at an angle one wheel at a time, same goes for driveways. I had a civic which was a daily driver and i couldnt put my foot under the front bumper and i never scraped it once. If you lower your car and drive it like you did before it was lowered then youre an idiot and shouldnt be lowering it in the first place. Every car i ever owned was lowered

Pedder's has a sping kit (alos for the Cobalt) . . . They had one at the Camaro Superfest the past weekend.

If you like low, it looked good . . . sorry no pics . . .

Pricey though, $89/spring = $356 + shipping just for the springs, not including install.

Correct me if im wrong, but i believe pedders are a full coilover. I have no problem spendin $400 on full set of coils.

Yeah but here in texas we don't have many things to watch out for lol. I hit my bumper on my friends drive way all the time. But that's why there's that little black lip down there. Im still going to lower mine. And maybe go with those c6 rims like that one guy with the red ss panel.

Anyways I would say go 1 inch or 1 half inch in the front. And 2 in the back. If someone thinks that's bad then tell me lol
