there are a lot of things I miss about my car....the best 5 speed transmission(knock on wood my cobalt tranny is still good), four doors, and I would have one of the top hhrss around considering what I have done to the balt and the hhr would have been paid off smh...however, the balt is doing great so far...

 

how "forgiving" is the 5 spd? i havent driven stick in awhile but im in the market for an SS but there arent many autos around, but more manual..dont want to burn the clutch up

 

when i was looking for a SS i wanted a 5 speed and the only 2 issues i found w them were from 1st to 2nd (the worst) and going into 5th sometimes

personally i like the clutch a little higher on the shift distance. too low to the floor for me
everything else worked great

 

not sure if i should go stick or not...dont want to regret it and be stuck with the car...its been a looong time haha

 

Compared to my Honda, the SS 5 speed is downright obnoxious, clunky, and hard to shift, always has been. But then the whoosh of the Turbo kicks in and you forget all about it.

I've driven the auto and they're a hoot but I'm not an auto kind of guy. Only ever owned one in my life and hated every minute of driving that car.

 

Better motor and trans mounts improve shifting greatly.
