More painted calipers (& hubs)

I always planned to paint the calipers (as many others have) but I also was particularly concerned about the view of the rusty hubs, especially the rear hubs.

Want to get the ambition to do mine on my 2LT, yours looks very nice. I wonder how the rear disc on the SS will hold up in winter with the salt in northern OH. It was hell on the rear disc on my Silverado and was glad my HHR 2LT had drums on the rear because of that reason.

I never had problems with my rear discs on my Riviera or Eldo here in WI. I don't think that there should be any issues. Of course I do wash my vehicles pretty regularly!

Very nice job on the painting millerrdjr, that is certainly motivation for me! How did you mask off your rotor? Looks like a nice clean line!

just quick note; I would try to wash my Silverado, even underneath whenever I could(weather permitting and would clean calipers and assembly once 2x / yr. Semi retired at the time and drove under 4K/yr. Heard others has issues with the rears on the Silverado also. Mine was a '99.

Thanks Carl. I removed the rotor and used a gasket cutter to cut contact paper (the same kind used for kitchen shelves). The contact paper is designed to be removable and it worked pretty well.

Thanks Grey. Even though you are in the neighborhood, it was a lot of work and I think I'll decline.
