My SS's toys are on order....

Well, I decided that some of my cash I have saved up as my tattoo money would be better spent on my HHR.
So with that in mind I ordered my Magnaflow Exhaust and set up an appointment for the GM tune next week. Also, theres a gentleman locally who is going to pinstripe my HHR by hand as soon as I can get it down to him. The way I look at it, I can get my tattoos at any time, I might as well get this stuff done now so I can enjoy it as soon as it gets a little warmer. In about 30 minutes Im going out to put on my stubby anntenna too....

Just in case you didn't know, get the GM tune 1st then the exhaust. Otherwise, enjoy the new levels of fun once everything's in!

Noob question. First congratulations on getting mod parts. Second, why is it suggested to get tuned and then get exhaust? Me thinks it would be the opposite.

Without the turbo upgrade the system will learn down your modifications to the production power levels.

OK, point me to another thread so I don't clutter this one. I'm still dense on the ECM/PCM learn thingy. The "tune" referenced here is in addition to stage kit parts and GM reflash? (kinda know this other manufacturers ECU/tune method pretty well-differs of course from GM-so bear with me)

Going to be searching the site for more information. (maybe I should not-that's what has gotten me into trouble trolling forums for mod info-result I got to buy her an HHR!)

Nope, the GM tune will have the parts and reflash all in one stop. The reflash is really the tune that disables the detune down feature from the factory. That's why you want the tune first then the exhaust.
