It does have what is called the FE5 suspension which has a factory built in sway bar in the rear twist beam. It is still there today, ours is a complete Add On. So in a way you have 2 now in the rear.

Anybody with an SS know about this built in sway bar? I've never seen anything about it. Maybe SSfan or FMG could elaborate.

Yes Steve, there is a built in bar on the inside of the SS rear axle beam. I always thought it was an unadjustable torsion bar or maybe just there for strengthening. I never really thought it was considered to be a sway bar.
Not sure if the regular HHR's have one or not. Maybe someone else could confirm that.

Anyhow, since you got me to go jack my car up and lay on the cold concrete on a Sunday morning, , here's a picture for everyone.

I'll go out and crawl under my LS later, right now I'm at the pool with my wife and a few friends.

it's actually that warm in Canada to already be swimming? Wow!
Wait a minute, you said hanging out BY the pool... not swimming in the pool. Big difference, sorry to assume

I'm in Florida by the pool! To cold in Canada, the polar bears will think your a seal and get you when you climb out of the hole in the ice back home, lol

Attachment 17224

The GM 2010 1 & 2LT parts diagram does not show a sway bar for the rear.

Could be?It should just be smaller than the FE5 setup, as the 1 and 2 lt should have the FE3 suspension setup.

In any case all the more reason to get the TTR one :)
