Question No Oil Pressure gauge reading on Cold start

Is anyone having an issue with their oil pressure gauge not reading on a cold start?

My 09 SS and my bosses 08 SS does the same thing. When starting cold you get no reading on the gauge for about 3 to 4 minutes?

Possible causes would be the normal oil pump, oil sending unit or instrument cluster failure. If you recently changed the oil filter a damaged, incorrect or a filter not installed correctly could cause this. If it's been a long time since you changed the oil filter a twisted filter can cause this also.

Must be talking about that pesky coolant temperature gage.

Ok now that I feel really dumb. I just now went out and looked and its a temp. gauge. My boss comes in to me at lunch and asks me if I noticed this and I said I never paid attention to it (only owning this car for 4 weeks now). So he grabbed my keys and went out to my car and said "yours does it too." I said ok ill go check the forums. After reading the replies I now feeling dumb take it upon myself to go look and sure enough its a temp gauge. I think my boss just assumed it was an oil pressure gauge because he is an old hot rod guy and you can read the engine temp. by scrolling through the heads up display menu anyways. Its been one of those days I guess. OOPS! I hope everyone enjoyed the comedy.
