Oil Pressure Gauge
#2
I am getting pressure from an oil galley below the exhaust manifold. There are three on the side of the block, but there is only enough clearance to use the one towards the front (next to the water pump outlet). It isn't very easy to get to, however. I had to remote mount the sending unit because there isn't enough room to screw it directly into the block.
Another option is to replace the factory sensor with the sending unit (this is on the other side of the block, below the oil filter housing). There is more room for the sending unit, but it's still not easy to get to. This has been done on LSJ's with no side effects (DTC's, etc.). I am not aware of anyone trying this on an LNF though.
Auto Meter makes the thread adapter you will need.

Oil sending unit
How easy or hard is the oil sending unit to replace?
Ever since I had my last oil change I developed a small leak. Ichecked the filter area, and all is dry, I think the sending unit is the only thing that could be leaking.
