I don't know what's going on but the troopers and locals seem to have dclared war on motorists. Maybe Kasich took away their free doughnuts.

Lets not get our panties all wadded up, over guys putting SS badging on their rides. They well know ,it's not a SS, and if they are smart, they won't mess with a real SS. I've seen SS badging on a frigging lawn tractor. "Moon"

Just wait, in 25 years those will be passed off as "SS Clones". Wanna get my blood boiling, come up to me at a show and use those five magic words...."Is that a real SS?".
At that point I just let my wife answer the question while I go off somewhere and turn the air blue with a stream of obscenities that would make a longshoreman blush.
There ought to be a law.

It could be worse. What if they first asked if this car was a real SS and then looked next to it (if you had an HHR SS sitting there) and asked "When did ****Zler make a PT Cruiser SS?"
I used to see this all the time when I had my Mustang. People would put GT badges and the exhaust on V6's (the old 3.8l POS ones) and Cobra badges on either V6's or GT's. The GT ones were not as bad since the torque was the same but the V6 ones.... I actually got to race a V6 one that was badged as a Cobra while I was in a 2.0l Prelude. I wish I could have seen his face as I pulled ahead.

back in the day it seemed like a lot of guys would put ss Badges on there camaros etc.
Heck I had a 69 impala I bought the day i graduated from High school
If I could have afforede it back when I was 29 I would have pulled the 327 fender emblems and added SS emblems.
But thinking about it what I did was more fun when I was about 20 I built a 355 Low compression small block, same setup dynoes right around 400 HP
then I added a nitrous unit after I got beet by a big block mopar.
open the ash tray flip the arming switch reach back turn on the bottle mounted in the back seat( to keep the pressure up)
then hit one of the two horn buttons on steering wheel and wala 300 extra hp
that was a fun sleeper lots and lots of modded 5.0 mustangs where not sure why there car lost against a big ol impala.I think most thought something was wrong with there car
woops its early here sorry for the trip down memory lane.
Back to what moon was saying ya I agree
At least the PT Cruisers have not startred to Put HHR emblems on their cars

"Just 2,124 were ordered with RPO Z24, a special performance package that included RPO F41 heavy-duty suspension and other performance goodies, RPO L36 (385 brake horsepower (287 kW) Turbo-Jet 427-cubic-inch (7.0 L) V8, as well as a special trim package that replaced the "Impala SS" badges with large "SS427" emblems on the front grille and rear trim. The Z24 package also included a special hood with chrome-plated intake."
Out of those 2,124 RPO Z24's built, 4 were triple black convertibles. Care to put your 2.0 LNF Ecotec up against this Sam?
Please excuse the pollen, this was taken last April and there still was a bit of the nasty stuff in the air.
