Performance Passenger Seat

Seat
The foam cushion part number is 25872634. List price is $110.00, so over-the-counter should be less, depending on your typical deal with your parts guy. Cover part number depends on color of course. They should be able to get that if they call in with your VIN and the AE5 option code. Don't mention passenger seat, since that will just confuse the issue. Cover list price is about $210.00, so this isn't cheap, but is still the right way to do it, as an aftermarket seat brings up probable safety and airbag sensor issues. Unfortunately if you are changing the driver's seat you are looking at $320.00 retail for what would have been a $95.00 order option. (update on prices, full list is $250.78 for the cover and $137.90 for the seat foam, next level down is "net", then your price if you can get a better deal).

Those of course are part numbers for the original driver's seat, before the factory started offering the actual performance passenger seat. So a new quest for part numbers is in order, for an actual passenger seat cover and foam base. Should make for an easier swap.

I tried to get the part number here and got no replies. I also went to the dealer and they could only tell me the seat was sold as a unit? I could not confirm this as being true but could not get the numbers I needed. I was told it was sold as a unit due to the air bag sensor?
I did go ahead with the numbers we had here on the conversion with the driver seat and it went smooth with only a few small mods.
The difference you will run into to is the rear of the seat is different.
You have a extra rod in the rear of the foam pad to hog ring too and then a extra support curtin on the rear of the cover. with 2 more hog rings. The drivers side lack this.
The driver part numbers above need the skirt removed and sewn on the other side and the rear pad formt he stock seat needs cut and carried over to the new pad. C2 explains this.
What is not mentioned is the rear of the cover needs 2 small notched cut to fit on the sides of the back rest and a little poly fill to make the rear of the set smooth.
It is very easy to make right and make it work. I did mine last Tuesday night in less than 2 hours while taking my time. The hardest part is removing the plastic covers on the seats. I have done seat covers before and these were easier than the ones I have done in the past even with the mods.
If you can get the correct numbers it will go a little easier but if not the other cover will work with just a little extra work.

Agreed. These are the part numbers I am looking for. I am particular and not having to cut up my original foam is a plus, as well I also did not want to have to rip stiching to put the GM Performance tag on the proper side of the seat.

WIth my discounts at work I was lucky and got off with only $180 to make the change.[/QUOTE]
Looks like GM has lowered the price on the foam and cover, even for folks without the discount you get.
