K Ill do that. Ive been a valvoline guy many years but will use Monile 1 as used by many high end cars. Seems to work well. Whats your take on the cols air systems as in the new thread? And warranties. Dont wanna mess anything up with that. We already got 300 on her lol

They come with mobile 1 as far as I know. And thats what the dealer puts in . Kinda pricey, over 50.00 bucks for a oil and filter change,,but,,thats the price ya pay for the better stuff I guess.
I dont know much about the cold air stuff. I have read a lil,,but like everything else,,there are pro's and con's to everything....depending on who you listen to.

True, I like to DIY with oil changes. Ill keep ears open and see how others like it here first. Added more pics at facebook too. Used the launch control for first time tonight. It attempted to cook the tires so enough of that for now and stuck to some half throttle pulls and a WOT pull, ran very good, peaked at around 15 lbs boost in "I" mode

Reason I wont do my own oil is because I dont want to have to find a place to dispose of the old oil. Also there is a place in the owners manuel to record all the maintenance and things. A good record goes a long way in trade in,,from what I heard.

kev&chers-congrats on the new purchase. i remember 2 years ago when i picked up my wifes black auto ss and 3 days later got 5 speed...i know u have the ear to ear grin lol.

as far as cold air intakes,be patient and wait. from what i can see we are okay with the stock set up. imo some cai systems out there requires tuning etc... i wouldn't do it with a brand new car. not sure if gm corrected all the lil bugs we(people that got them when they forst came out) had,but if they didn't,keep under the hood "stock" looking as long as possible. if they see a cai system they might try to void your warrenty. if you want true power and not have to worry about warranty issues, exhaust and tune(gm tune if you are concerned with warranty). yes i'm bias and love my hahn exhaust. 3dp and no cats!!!

don't know how long u been on here, but a couple of things to watch for. when i first got mine, before i got off the lot,my cel was on. long story short,my lower ic pipe was cracked. this also happend to a couple of others on here. symptoms was no boost and limp mode. first mod for me was to replace the plastic piping. MY dealer was fine with that mod due to the fact all the hell we went through with the plastic being cracked.

lost of power-mine never done this to me nor has my wifes. they both were reflashed at the dealer to fix this problem.

with u being auto,it was issues with the brakes on start up. our auto did it a couple of times, but is fine now.

tire pressure sensors can be faulty.

otherwise, this is pretty much the major stuff that has happend to me. enjoy your new ride!!!

Very informative post ty. I did hit around 15lbs of boost yesterday, I think so far our is ok. I think we will wait on CAI.. Take notes and decide from there. We will go with GM tune in a few months or so. Sounds like auto benefits greatly. close to 300 like the M/T. Stock she runs real good, but know it will be like a small NOS shot with the upgrade from GM. I like Hahn. I was dragracing motorcycles back in the 90's and mid 2000's. Hahn Was big there. had some of the fastest bikes on the planet, still does. but for warranty purposes, Im sticking with GM. So far the car is suffering no issues. Power is there and throws ya in the seat when it hooks up. Cant wait to feel the real deal with upgrade. Cher & I have absolutely been swept away with this car. Just overjoyed & Blessed to be owning her
BTW: Kinda like torque steer :)

Its up to you....but I would paint that grille emblem to match the red. Looks better than the gold. Mine is painted black to match and it looks awesome. I do that on the side if you are interested...... you get new factory emblems (front and rear) painted the factory color.

Yeah I seen your pics among others with that done, very sweet. May have to do that in future. My first upgrade will be the stage-1. Sounds like quite a remarkable upgrade. Yeah a Crystal red bowtie should look great
