Love what you did with the bow tie up front, is it a pain in the ass to remove? I would love to black mine out. I thought you posted how to do it but i cant seem to locate it

The key fob covers are from my friends business here in Omaha. He makes them for all cars, and is the only maker of fob covers. They nabed the patent before anyone else. It is made out of that silicone ruber stuff so it is hard to print on, and the ink required is really expensive. He does large run print jobs for dealers and companies, but is not interested in making these cause of the low run numbers prospected.

You can get a fob cover plain from thejacketstore.com. That's his business. I tried to post on this forum a way to order SS ones from me, but it is not allowed. I made the needed piece required for printing them, and got the ink from him. I cannot afford to make these unless it is on an order by order status, and my buddy does not want them sold on Ebay cause it would mess with his orders. So no go...

They are pretty cool though. I wish I could find a way to sell them for all SS chevy cars without starting my own side business that would not mess with his. Maybe I could meet you all at a HHR meet and greet sometime and we could work something out.

Sub Box

Did you remove the spare tire for the box install? Would like to see some pics of the box Itself. Also where did you put the amp?

For the bow ties I went to the dealer and got some new ones and took them to a body shop where they airbrushed them and then used an automotive clear over that. cost $50, the bow ties were free as a hook-up. As for the box it took the place of the spare tire and I had to remove the securing rod for the tire as well. The box goes all the way back to the battery and the amp is mounted in the space left over to the left of the battery at the end of the box. Not too woried about the spare since I have 4 different road-side assistance providers, and a fix-a-flat kit with a compressor.

I also like the BowTie you did. and thanks for the info on where to get them. I thought I would have to paint mine on the car. I didn't know they come off.

PM me guys if you want to talk about the fob covers.

I wanted to start by saying sweet looking SS..

I don't know if I missed it or not but what kind of paint did you use on IC? Also, did you think about painting the complete IC black & then the SS in red? The reason I am asking is becuase I was thinking about paint my IC flat black so it would blend in completely but I am worried about if it will affect the cooling...

I had posted the other day with this question and AaronSS posted that I should have it anodized and jx3 was nice enough to point me to this post. I am not sure what the cost of anodizing would be but I would probably have to buy a new IC and have that one done.
