Rear Bumper Protector ???

I notice several SS cars on here with the black bumper protector on the rear bumper cover. Is this the same part # that is used on a regular HHR?

I just traded my '07 2LT for a 2010 SS and when I added the protector to the '07 it fit in a little channel on the bumper cover - which the SS doesn't have...

Tnx - geo

I tried and found the lip was in the way of the bumper protector. Other SS guys claim it works. Personally I want something that covers the whole lip of the bumper so I"m thinking of getting that side rail step padding by 3M. Somewhere here is a post from someone that did it.

The one GM uses is the same. I am not sure how they did it but I just thick used thick 3M tape to put it on to overcome the lip. It is not a big issue.

Mine looks feels and sits the same as the 2010 SS I have seen with them. I even got the spacing the same even with out seeing one installed first.

Actually I have a pair of "beach slippers", that have soft soles w/ mesh uppers and are very comfortable, that I wear when driving any distance

Glad to see you are secure.

I do not know how short people get in and out of a SS. I have long legs and it is a reach for me.
