Rearview Camera

Anyone have the option number for the rearview mirror backup camera option. I just joined, found a ss on a lot and want to see if the dealer has the code yet. Does anyone have it? Thanks

On the Tahoe and Traverse it is DRC for the mirror and UVC is the camera.

The screen is in the rear-view mirror, there is a photo in the photo section of the Traverse site.

The left side of the Rear View Mirror will show a screen in reverse. and it will go back to a mirror when you go into drive.

Look in the recent magazines for the Traverse inserts and it shows what it looks like.

I really don't see the point on a non panel HHR for it but If someone has trouble backing up it will save a bumper.

You also can see what it looks like in Autoweek as they can be put in aftermarket too. The company that supplies the OE comapny sells them outright.

Nice set up but I just feel it is more useful on a large vehicle and more a new toy on a windowed HHR.

I just think there were other things they could have offered that would be more useful.

Now on a panel I can see the use.

Latest info as of today from GM product developement on the backup camera option is their supplier was about a month late suppling GM with this equipment. Still supposed to be ready to install on vehicles between December 8th to January 9th. Originally was supposed to be on the dealer order list the first part of September but the delay pushed that back. It should become available to order about the middle of October without any other delays. I am waiting on some confirmation on exact dates and will pass along when I receive them.
