Reasons to own an SS - part 372

372. ACCELERATION - The interstate I travel to work is under construction and my entrance ramp is currently at a stop condition with no acceleration ramp at all. You have to punch it and get up to cruising speed in a hurry to blend in with traffic, or risk getting rear-ended or causing other cars to jam on their brakes. The SS makes quick work of getting up to speed, and it is fun to boot. Unfortunately there are too many other vehicles that can't accelerate like the SS. So I end up waiting what seems like hours for the cars in front of me to take the leap out into traffic.

I do like part 372..... Myself I play a game everyday on the way to work. The on-ramp I use to get on the interstate is your typical 270*, small, decending circular on-ramp. From the light, i mash the peddle and get to 40 in the very short distance so that I can hit high G's. 3/4's of the way through the turn I pic a car moving a ggod speed and I STOMP that skinny peddle right when the get perpendicular to me. The whole game is to see if I can burn the last part of the turn at full throttle and catch them before I the lanes merge.

I win 90% of the time. Camaro SS and a few other fast movers have been on the ball or met me the second time :)

Sounds like my mornings, but with an uphill ramp.

It was driving the on-ramps that I fell in love with the SS's turning capabilities. I could suddenly go about 15 mph faster on those ramps when I got the SS. What a rush!
