Reduced Engine Power

On Saturday the Reduced Engine Power light came on (after only about 3,500 miles) and it indeed reduced the power majorly. I felt like a grandma driving but at least I could still drive. I brought it in on Monday and they couldn't determine what the issue was. Then on Tuesday they located the problem: Internal Fuel Pump Failure. According the their GM sources this was a first for an HHR SS! It took 2 days to get the fuel pump in and after a test drive everything was fine again. I have my Cherry the Red back and she feels fine again. Thought I'd share. The service at Meyer Chevrolet was fabulous and of course there was no charge whatsoever. I will now have to submit my rental bill to GM. Hopefully that will be reimbursed soon.

glad they took care of you,but in the future, you should never have to pay for a rental!!! they should supply the rental or loaner off the bat. most have an enterprise on site.

When I left the car behind in the shop they told me that they had a "problem" with Enterprise and that it would have to be an out of pocket expense. After all that, they called Enterprise which came within 5 to pick me up. For the last 18 minutes I have been on the phone with GM Customer Assitance to get my refund. They are going through tons of questions but I hope to get a positive result shortly. Right now my Vehicle ID doesn't show up on their end!

The dealer should have put you into the vehicle and Enterprise should have billed the dealer. At the very least the dealership should be refunding you the rental expense and submitting for the refund from GM. The way they handled it is not the way GM intended this program to be administered.
