They're probably popping VIN numbers off your car and their lot car just so you leave them alone

Good luck...

Pretty sad when you have to diagnose your own repair.

With my past three cars, I have done more diagnosing than the dealership. It helps to have website forums like this where owners can share a lot of information. When you can tell them where the problem is (or at least a TSB number), it eliminates a lot of the trial and error that is so frustrating when trying to fix mechanical and electrical problems.

Was going to post that idea for you. Took my car to the dealership yesterday, CEL and boost issues. They diagnosed the wastegate as the problem, that was the good news..... The bad news is they had to order a new one and it didn't get shipped til today, so best case it arrives and is installed tomorrow. I probably shouldn't hold my breath.....

well was told later today that it didn't fix the problem. right now,i'm not angry anymore...just numb. i asked the service guy,"what's the worst case scenerio(sp) if they can't find the problem??" his reply was,"i guess they will (gm)have to give you another car". with that being said, i want a conference call tommorow(i'm working my part time job tommorow) stating everyones next move. my move is,if my car isn't fixed by the close of business on friday,i want another car. my car would have been in the shop for the second time,i put roughly 200mi. on the car, half of it driving it to the dealer, friday will be day 5. no offense to the hhr die hards, but if possible,i want a cobalt ss/ts. it's simply for weight savings and plus i like the way the cobalt look. if i get another hhr ss,should i ask for xtras mine didn't have(sunroof is really the only thing)???

That is really too bad that you have had to go through hell with you new car. I hope GM does the right thing and make it right. G.B.

Good luck, hope you get what you want. If it's a Cobalt SS then maybe it happened this way for a reason...
