Yeah, I'm surprised that doesn't dent with the flimsy sheet metal we have....

I saw a Mercury Sable with a deer hanging out of the trunk yesterday....that would be a mess!

Funny how those things work out. Last year we have record snows starting on opening day of deer (gun) season and I run the stock tires all winter. This year I decide that I am getting snows so I can get around better and no snow yet....

No scratches and no dents, the field dressed deer went 183#. The 1st thing I did yesterday after getting him off the roof was wash the car to get all the blood off.

My wife has an LT with the roof rails and we have put some heavy stuff up there before so I was rather confident that it wouldn't dent. You just don't want to push very hard on the tailgate, but the roof can take it. I wonder how well the HHR did on the insurance institutes new roof standards?

I would send all of you some of the steaks, but those are the payment to my wife to let me go up hunting with the guys. You should see what I have to do if I don't get a deer

Well. got to get back out to butchering....

sweet, Now all you need is some Hid's and a camo paintjob! PS where do you mount the gunrack? on the plus side I now know I can put my mother-in-law up there without denting the roof!

Yupp!

The pics are hilarious. I wonder what it would be like to be a little kid riding behind your car and seeing bambi on the roof with its tounge sticking out lol

I'm a deer hunter too. Bow by choice, gun when frustrated. So happy to see another one of our cars actually being used!
