I do both Bow and Gun and I know what you mean by getting frustrated. I got this one by gun, but when I was butchering that deer, I found what I am sure frustrated some other bow hunter (in pic below)! I had no idea it was in there until I started cutting the outer tenderloins.

Congrats on the nice buck!

I bagged a nice decent buck with my bow a couple weeks ago also, but I had the Tahoe so that worked out well. I don't know if I would have been able to throw it on top of the SS, I'd worry about the damage too!

Mine was back in the woods quite a ways, so the 4wd is nice for getting back in to haul out. Will be going back out with the pistol next weekend and hopefully bring home some more sausage and venison hot-stcks!

I know what you mean! I want that sausage now!

I am out in Boston right now as my daughter was playing in the NCAA soccer tournament. This is opening weekend of the gun season in WI and I have never missed that before. This game was something I just would not miss for the world!

My dad got a huge 9 point buck today though! He's 80 years old and not skipping a beat when it comes to hunting. It is so much fun spending time with him, my brother and my son. Can't wait till next weekend!

Nice job on the hunt and the on getting that buck up there. My friend's dad goes up to Alaska to hunt and he's brought back some great catches like moose, deer, etc. At least you did the buck a good service by getting "rid of it's pain" (i.e. having that bow stuck inside him!)

Not sure how much "pain" he was in, he didn't act like anything was bothering him. And oh ya, he was chasing 3 does!
