SS Auto?

I'm old school, drove 300 miles to pick one up with a 5 spd. I like the extra 35hp from the 5 spd. But I have found one drawback at the track here. The start line is not level so I have to keep one foot on the brake or it rolls back enough to red light. This makes it real hard to use launch mode unless you have three feet (being human I only have two). I would like to try it on a better track. But I do think the 5spd will beat an auto stock on a proper track.

Wouldn't heel-toe shifting help keep the car in place while launching? IE keep yoiur right foot on the brakes and gas while the other foot's on the clutch for launch.

Sorry but AFAIK that combination just does not exist. Brembos and LSD's are manual-only options. So you have either a 5 speed, or your salesperson was one hell of a good liar when he sold you the auto. Agreed that the autos still do kick butt, even more so when tuned!

No, you still need to hold the clutch with a manual. The launch mode only keeps you below red line on the RPM with the gas pedel on the floor. But I haven't tryed it with the e-brake. I'll give that a shot next time at the track.
