I haven't see any different colored bowties available that will fit the HHR. I went to a local decal shop and bought some scrap black vinyl and covered the front and rear bowties on mine

I would need to know what specific model of vehicle the red SS emblems came on to look them up and we couldn't figure that out. I knew the black/red Bowtie came on the 454 SS trucks, but there was no way to see if those would fit the way the current one does on the HHR. Anyone know places to find more info on either of these or anyone changed theirs???
I was looking at a 2010 camaro ss in the dealer lot, it had red ss emblems if you don't want to go with the decals

A little off topic here, but how are the SS emblems attached? Double sided tape ( hopefully )?

from what I've seen, yes it's a very thin double sided "3M sponge-like" tape. I've actually seen several different styles of red SS's that I liked and considered, but I REALLY like the look of the SS's on it and just want them red. I'm leaning more toward the overlays at this point. The deal with the bowties was I didn't know what different types of mountings other ones may have and whether or not they'd work. I was considering ordering one on ebay for cheap just to try it.

BTW, the whole deal with me wanting the red trim like this is my HHR is black w/ a red pinstripe and black/red interior. I was just going for additional small amounts of red to set it off a little better If anyone cares to view my pix there are plenty if you click the link to my myspace in my sig.

That is because it had the rs (rally sport) package. if it in the non ss then it has a red rs badging. The ss badging is usually white like the hhr, but if you pay for the rs package the ss badging is red. however it is smaller (quite a bit i believe) then the hhr ss badge.

I bought mine from flamingdecals.com also and they look great. The are almost perfect fit and cant tell unless looking extremly close. I would recomment applying them w/ the wet method so you can adjust them before they stick.

What about extra "real" HHR SS badges? Any good deals on them anywhere? I would like to get one for my airbox
