Timer noise

Yup, a lotta "funny" noises comin from my SS either while idling or after shut down. I look at it , like was said, that it's better to hear the noises, than not.
On a cold start i hear a noise that will drop out after a few minutes,, since i use remote start most times, i get in the car just about the time that noise ends.I use that as my proper time for warmup (prob 3-4 minutes or so)
I know it's ok to give a lil bit of time running b4 you put it in gear, but i expect to get a few hundred K miles on this one, just like most everything else i have driven, giving that i put 600 miles a week of what i drive, so i prefer to let it run what i consider a good amount of time. Out of my driveway it's 55mph, and the after 10 miles, it's 70,(for the next hr) so i really don't have the chance to take off kinda slowly
I took a mental note of what noises i hear during start up /idle/after shut down, so i think i hope to be able to catch it when one does not happen, or one or a new one pops up , THEN i'll worry

I hear a whole bunch of noises during idle. Even my wife asked me if that was normal. I said "of course honey, it's a turbo - those rocket scientists at GM know what they are doing." :)
I also hear the flap closing a few seconds after turning off the engine.
