Tinted the front windows
Had the two front windows tinted earlier this week. Got 'er cleaned up and thought I'd post a few pics.
Pay no attention to the flat on the Monte, it won't hold air. Just waiting until I can turn the 350 in it into a 383.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, forgot how hard a black car is to clean (and keep clean).

I used to tint my front windows while living in California -- it's totally illegal in CA to tint those windows. Only had to peel it once to take care of a fix-it ticket. Here in TN it's legal, but only up to a certain percentage. I had my front windows tinted to match the factory deep tint on the rear windows -- not legal. But this is the third vehicle I've had here that have had this dark a tint, and I've not any problems so far. Looks sharp to have all the tint match. If I get a ticket for it, so be it. As a side benefit, the tint I had put on has a lifetime guarantee against fading or discoloration. More expensive, but worth it.

Mine came tinted from the dealer and it was one of the reasons I hesitated on getting it (too much black). But the weekend I bought it, it was like 107F and realized real fast that having those tinted windows was a blessing!
I LOVE the privacy of the tinted windows. I never open them and if I want air, I just open the sunroof! Oh and my dealer said they would pay any ticket I got

27% is the legal limit here in SC. I asked them to match the rear windows so I'm not sure what they are. But the fronts are not as dark as the rear windows, shade or two lighter. I've passed several police cars since, no problems, knock on wood.
I know what you mean! I lived in Tucson for 3 years. I found out after moving here that I didn't know what hot was. The windows HAVE to be tinted here, that or only drive at night.
