Tire Pressure Sensors Work

After completing a round of golf, I started my SS and as I was pulling out of the lot I noticed that I had the tire pressure warning light was on. Checked my DIC (now that sounds kind of funny) and it indicated that my right rear tire was at 9 lbs. Got out of the car and checked the tire along with my buddy who was in a car behind me and we both agreed the tire looked fine so I continued home.

The next morning tire sensor light was still on so again I checked the DIC and it indicated only 1 lb. Got out of the car and sure enough the tire was flat. Inspected the tire and found a nail dead center in the tire. I then put air in the tire and took it to the tire store. They checked the tire and said it looked fine and then repaired it.

Moral of the story – even at only 9 lbs of pressure the tire visually looks fine. Next time I will believe the warning.
