Warranty

I am new to here and just wanted to say hi and ask a question. Since the
HHR SS is from the perforamnce division, does it still have the 5yr/100k mile warranty?

Thanks,
RC

The power train 100,000 mile warrenty is a limited power train warrenty, whatever that means.

Limited means it covers defects only and a slew of other legalistic mumbo jumbo...

I actually read all that small print for the powertrain warranty and, it is not bad. They are asking that we follow the service schedule and keep records to defend the service actions.

This isn't any different than what the GMPP (aka: extended warranty) asked.

For an additional $400 you can get a bumper to bumper warranty covering everything but paint, tires and battery for 5/50K. Cheap insurance in case you lose something like a CD player, sun roof gasket, tie-rod bushings etc. These parts are cheap, but labor will eat you up.

It's great to see Chevy will build a car that has performance options and still warrant it to 100K miles. I guess Chrysler doesn't have as much faith in their performance cars.

Investigate the service contracts just prior to the time your car will pass out of the factory warranty period(3/36000).That way you're not paying for duplicate coverage on the non powertrain items.I don't know about other coverages, but I know that GMPP can be renewed after it lapses.
