Why No WHITE SS?
#12
White is like a blank pallet. You can add anything to it you want. Plus, it's a non-metalic color. It's so much easier to repair. If I had a white SS, the first thing I'd do is get racing stripes painted on it.
Of course, everyone knows I'm holding out for Corvette Yellow. Now that's a hot color and very deserving to be on any model SS!

maybe not by you!
I never knew this before but a friend of mine who owns a BMW M3 told me that white is BMW's official racing color...
I think white is a great sports car color.

If you are talking about sports cars only, you may wish to know that the color white is the LEAST selling color for Corvette. In fact, Chevy on a couple of occassions had CONSIDERED dropping the white color availability for Corvette.
Additionally according to AAA, white is the MOST selected color for TRUCKS.
Silver/Grey the most selected for Sports cars (not true regarding just Corvette...black biggest seller).
But ultimately how do the different sources define a "sports car". Could be rather nebulous.

i guess it's how you define sporty. You must mean as in flashy or flamboyant. In that case I would agree with you that white does not share those characteristics.
But when I think of sporty as in car colors, I think of all the dazzling white sports cars, muscle cars and race cars ive seen in my life. but maybe that's just me... I've seen plenty of white SS cars in my day, every (real) white SS model Chevy has ever made and I would certainly consider most every one of them as sporty, as in bold, brash and stylish.. all words you could use instead of sporty.
