I was also going to do both, except I'm super broke. Lol. So I did just the intake one, that did the trick for me.. in case that's useful to anyone here.

I have a 2007 2.2 1LT with the cel on with a P0016 code and I don't see the sensors under my air filter like it shows in the pics. can anyone help me with the location?? the car seems to run and shift fine but I want to take care of this before the weather gets to cold.

The reason you can't find them, is that the 2007 2.2 doesn't have them. The answer you seek is in the definition of the code received.

2009 2.2 may indeed have "Variable Valve Timing"

If you are having problems, your first step is to get the error codes stored in the DIC if the Check Engine Light is lit. Without that, you are shooting in the dark.
I'm just now getting into troubleshooting my own P0011 code and my 2009 FSM say the procedures are the same for the 2.4 and my 2.2.

So it seems there has been a change around model year 2009.

Has anyone experienced this on the SS 2.0 yet? Is the procedure similar?

I have thrown the circuit malfunction code 3 times since yesterday.

What was the code? "circuit malfunction code" doesn't help much man.

Sorry Whopper,

It's the same codes associated with the Camshaft Actuator, I just typed what was in parenthesis. showing that the circuit malfunctioned.'

Car is still under warranty so they are taking care of this today, and I'm having them clean the throttle body as well. for my own piece of mind. I cleaned it once, what a pain in the ass!

I saked them to replace the 2nd actuator as preventive maitnence since they were doing one of them. (I would have paid for it). They told me chevy won't let them replace parts like that. Weird.

"camshaft actuator"? I gather you mean Camshaft Postition Actuator Solenoid?

Yeah, the dealer won't replace it under warranty unless there is a noted indication of a problem, which makes sense. But one would think they would love the exta $'s from you to replace the non-failed part - but I bet they would want to charge you shop-rate for replacing it, even tho' they already had it torn down for the warranty-replacement.

Hope it works out for you man.
