Correct - the part numbers are still the same.

Here is a list from the Oldest to Newest Part numbers for the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoids:

Intake 12628347 = 12646783 = 12655420
Exhaust 12628348 = 12646784 = 12655421



and to recap:

P0010/11 refers to the INTAKE solenoid
P0013/14 refers to the EXHAUST solenoid

NOTE: they are SOLENOIDS, not sensors!!!! they are two different things!!

Changed both solenoids just now...

Everything seemed great, and then the rough idle came back during my victory drive around the neighborhood.

The disassembly instructions are at the very start of this thread - ie: page 1, and it details how to remove the air filter housing.

I just came across your other posting in a different thread - Once again, I'd suggest you take it to a dealer or a repair shop and let them deal with it before you break something, or make the matter worse.

Previously you only referred to getting a P0010 code - and you said there were no other issues (ie: no mention of a rough idle until now).

So, the question now is: was the rough idle there before or not?

Yes, there was indeed a rough idle before. Seems to be commensurate with what other folks have posted on here.

Ok - thanks for the clarification. I'd throw the code reader back on, and see if there is any related code in storage. I don't remember having a rough idle when I encoutered my solenoid related CEL codes (only the hard shifting and I think the T/C light).

Oh, did you disconnect the battery for a short while during the replacement of the solenoids? Doing so, will clear the codes and start it fresh so to speak. And maybe double-check to ensure the MAF sensor on the intake is plugged back in securely, and that the intake plenum clamp is nice and tight.

Question: Would the bad solenoids cause cause strong fume oder and loud engine? Im reaally hoping its not an exhaust issue Cars only 4 years old!!

No, it sounds to me more like you are encountering the semi-famous flex-joint failure on the exhaust pipe. Check the flex-joint (it looks like an accordian) at the rear of the engine - it is the pipe attached to the exhaust manifold, and is between that and the catalytic converter.

They can be repaired by cutting off the flex joint and welding on a new one at pretty much any half decent muffler shop. Replacing the pipe involves replacing the Cat as well, so that can get pricey. You can try checking with your dealer to see if it is covered under emmisions or powertrain warranty, but I don't think it is.
