Mine doesn't have leather or a sunroof and is a ls I figured it was just the basic of them all. I don't care to have the remote start anyway. Just as long as it will lock and unlock my doors. lol

whats a bcm and were is it on 2011hhr,ground the purple wire on the bcm,i want to know in case i buy a older model,never know what you come across.thanks len

The interior fuse box is the BCM. Body Control Module.

Thanks for all of the info on this site
I recently purchased my car and attempted to set up the remote start. I have followed this thread to the letter, and still when attempting a remote start, am getting only the light flash. Is it necessary to disconnect the battery, reconnect and then try the start?

Without including the details on your car(year,model etc.) and the details of exactly what you did, then it's almost impossible to say.

2008 HHR LS...former rental vehicle. I found the purple wire in position 3 below the BCM...tapped into that and grounded it. Before doing that checked the DIC and made sure remote start is enabled. There is a switch under the hood but it only has 2 wires to it so I didn't think it was a hood ajar switch.
