How do you replace the rear window wiper blade?

In the Owners manual, it says to take off the protective plastic piece to gain access to the wiper blade.

What piece comes off and how?
The piece near the end of the blade or the thicker other end?
I tried fooling around with it, but am too scared to force and break something. Never had a vehicle with a rear wiper blade or a plastic piece covering it.
Thanks.

Where the wiper pivots at the thick end, the plastic comes straight off. you can pivot the wiper blade straight out.

I'm a little confused...can you just replace the blade with a refill, or do I need to buy an entirely new wiper? It would be much cheaper if I can get a refill for it, but I'm not quite sure how to get it off...

Dang! For that price, I don't need to see out my back window that great anyways!

Then just do a rear-wiper-delete like a lot of us have done!

(start on #22 to get an idea of what it looks like and #33 on how to do it).

Yeah, as I look my window from the house, I see the back window is covered in snow.... I think a rear wiper may be handy here!
