Thanks all. So far so good. Tootin around town, I got a measley 27mpg!! Unlike my awesome Ram which in city I got sweet 12-14mpg tops. (being sarcastic of course). So far not looking back until I need to tow or haul a load of dirt or messy crap that you would not want to put in back of the hatch. lol

I likey!! Style will be getting some used to. I'm little older now along with a family of 4 and spending over $60 a week on fuel is not cute. I am now giggle'in passing up the pumps.

Almost one-week of ownership and here's my take:

City driving with AC on, I got 29mpg.

I got 400 miles to one tank of gas :)

Rides like a dream. Even though I only got the LS, I love the brakes. They stop on a dime.
Love the way it corners and handles. It has a medium suspension to where if I want to drive sporty, it responds very well. Cruises like a caddy when on the highway.

Going 75-80 mph on the hwy this weekend with beach gear in the cargo area and family of four, I was getting 32mpg with AC going.

The only cons I found so far is:

What is up with the riding lawn-mower battery, which is also located by the spare tire?
Cup holders are in a bad location.
I wish that the back cargo window can pop open.

Other then that, this HHR has grown on me and I even polished her up.

Thanks Chevy for making a great mid-size (wagon?) that rides great, saves me lots of money at the pump and even my auto insurance went down!!

Pics soon to come.

Thanks all.

welcome to the site but I don't know if you got a deal or not. I bought a brand new 2009 lt2 fully loaded minus sunroof and rear spoiler with my trade in and a few other deals for 15,096 it was only a few dollars more per month for the brand new one then a used one..

My window sticker calls the donut a "full size spare", I assume as to the difference of a "full sized tire". Spare and tire being the key words. This is as oposed to the patch/pump kit in place of the spare. I appoligize for GM's lack of nomenclature on this.

Well, I got the xtended bumper2bumper 100K warranty. Without the warranty, it was 13500.00 Drive out. As the low-ball offers I got from my Dodge Ram by other Stealerships, I think it honestly was a good deal.

~ I just hope the warranty is as advertised.
