2008 lt

I'm new to the site, but have already picked up some useful info. Bought the car a week ago and have been busy swapping out wheels (it came with a full set of mounted blizzaks mounted on it & the regular wheels/tires), checking brakes etc. Tire pressure monitor was not working, but I assume that is due to the aftermarket wheels that were on it. One wheel left and then I will reset them all.

I, for one do not understand what this means.

The TPMS works from sensors mounted on the valve stems, has nothing to do with the wheels themselves. Lots of info here, use the search tool.

Thanks all for the welcomes.
Donbrew, I was simply mentioning that the original wheels (with the sensors) were not mounted on the car when I bought it, so the inflation monitor couldn't read correctly. A funny story, when I test drove it there was no reading and the warning light was on. Then when I picked it up the salesman said he had reset them with the remote and that he figured it worked off of some type of sensor in each axle. Turns out he could temporarily set it because the original wheels were all in the back of the car for me to take home. Halfway home the system went back to a warning with no readings.

Now I understand. I had a similar experience with a salesman, some of them just have no clue about their product.
