Welcome to the site.
Ah yes. The seat too high problem.
Two things here. Sunroof makes the ceiling height about 1 1/2" lower. The performance seat in the SS is a little thicker than a regular HHR seat. I custom lowered my drivers seat in the rear about 2 inches. There are some pictures in my gallery that show some of that work.

Fwiw. All 2010 SS's were basically "loaded". Last year of production there was not many options. The perf.pkg w/Brembos and limited slip was one of the only true options.

I'm 6'1" and the only trouble I have is when stopped at a stop light. I have a hard time seeing the overhead stop lights sometimes. Got the seat lowered all the way down.
But really like this little car.

Its the power performance seat and it is adjusted all the way down. Not a big deal. Just wish I had an extra inch.

True, that works in the warmer months.

I am coming out of a Dodge Dakota 4x4 so not being able to see the stop lights is nothing new to me.

I signed up on my.chevrolet.com. I was sad to see that the 3yr bumper to bumper warranty expired the day after I bought it. Oh well..
