Hellshotrod sent me these FE5 rear springs , to lower the rear of the BlackSwan

Static height is about 11 3/8 or 1/2 inches

I measured with two hands and locked the tape measure 11 5/16 inches

The rear fender height is just a smidge under 28 1/2 inches on the right rear

And the same in the left rear.

FE3. spring is 12 3/4 inches

Or maybe 12 7/8 inches static length

This was the measurements the same for both sides after letting the car down on the ground

27 1/2 inches, I know the glare of my head it’s hard to read the tape measure , this is the passenger side

The drivers side

The HHR is sitting much better in the rear , more level and no harsh ride or bottoming out! The bump stops for the FE5 springs have a different part number and are a bit shorter then the FE3 ones.

Blue- RR might be a tad lower than left depending on how much gas you got in it. looks much better.

And reading the tape was a bit difficult.. LOL

Snoopy lowered his HHR using FE5 springs & it only dropped 3/4". Which to some might be just right.

My wheel gaps F&R are the same.

The ride height is now looking more the same on both sides, we went for a longer ride in the country, this is why I don’t measure, my OCD makes me crazy, but that 1/4 inch could just be when I park in my driveway and apply the Ebrake the car rolls abit down hill and the rear axle pivots abit . I’ll maybe tape measure it in level cement, like in my garage, that floor in level.

Blue- I think you got it perfect. I can relate to the ocd too, drives my mrs crazy at times, unless I'm doing stuff on her ride.

So I think FE5 rear springs are perfect for leveling the old stink bug rear, and the ride isn’t any harsher then the FE3 springs. I’d like to thank FMG for his research, he was kind enough to dig out his OEM FE5 springs for measurements, and to hellshotrod, he shipped the rear springs and the isolators, and the shipping wasn’t that expensive from California to Canada!
And you Sleeper, for confirming my suspicions about the lowering Cobalt TC springs.
