Greetings from Kentucky

I just joined the Network after being a happy owner of a HHR Panel for 3 years. However January 22 that all changed when my 2008 2LT Panel was brutally rear ended and will never transport me again. While recovering I started combing the internet for a replacement. I was very particular because my Panel was highly optioned and sported a 5speed which was a must. I was shocked and delighted to find a beautiful black SS Panel with less than 25,000 miles and a 5 speed for sale in MO. about 350 miles away. After several phone calls and a 700 mile round trip it is now part of our family. I am both sad and thrilled that I will recover from my accident and still be driving what I think is one of GM's best productions (and I own a 1969 Camaro conv). I am looking forward to visiting this forum often.

Great story , and I am glad you are on the way back from recovery. Hope the new ride works out for you as well as your last one did. Funny how things happen. I got hit on my 85 Honda goldwing back in the 90's. Totaled the bike. My model they only made one year. I found one 2 blocks away from a old man selling her. I can relate to your story!

Welcome to the site.

The 5 speed in a SS makes it kinda feel like "Old School".

Love your SS... The red is awesome ... I agree on the 5 speed. I cut my teeth on big block 4 speed muscle cars from the 60s & 70s. The HHR SS 5 speed takes me back there and still allows for 30 mpg. Best of both worlds.
Thanks for sharing,
Tom
