Hello from Central Florida
Just found this forum recently and plan to log-in occasionally to learn about HHR maintenance.
I like to do most of my own maintenance and the HHR has presented me with challenges to even the basic tasks.Hopefully ,this forum will make it easier to keep it running for a long time.
We live in Lake Helen Fl.,it's about halfway between Daytona Beach and Orlando. We bought an' 08 2.4 ltr. LT in August of '10 Gold with leather and automatic.( Gramma and Grampa's )car
I don't post much.Just looking for info about the car.Being an old retired guy,it may be my last car.
May as well go out in style!

Well if your HHR is anything like mine ('06 2.4L) you should have much maintenance needed. I'll do oil changes, the easist car to change oil on. I have had little maintenace items. Shocks and struts replace with KYBs about 50K miles as were the spark plugs (they still looked good and may have not needed to be done). I'm on the second set of tires. The battery was replaced last fall. I'm still running the original brakes. I have a couple of thousand more miles on the car now and am planning the 100,000 mile maintenance. Transmission flush, cooling flush along with brakes (if needed).
I'll go to my favorite local shop as there, I can watch to see that the work is done. The dealer squirrels you far away in some "lounge" while the car is worked on.
