Hello... Dead Hippie here.....

Hi Everyone,

I just joined the site and it looks like this is the correct "Introductions" thread.

I own a 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo LS, but my Uncle owns a 2006 HHR 2LT. He found a website that sold an adhesive vinyl kit, which looks like woodgrain paneling, to make his HHR a "Woody Wagon". He doesn't drive the HHR that much, so I ask to drive it (usually once a week), because I think it looks cool (and it's incredibly comfortable to ride in and handles like a dream). Eventually, I want to get an HHR of my own (once I can afford it, I'm currently in college).

Dead hippie? Do you work for Consumer Reports?

Just kidding. Welcome to the group. I've seen pics of HHRs with the woody kits and they certainly bring back memories. A roof mounted board would really finish it off.

I picked that username, because I listen to vinyl records and a while ago I picked a record by a group called "Dead Hippie" (the album was recorded in 1983). The singer isn't that good, but the rest of the band is okay, since the album and group are so obscure, I decided to use that username for forums.

Shameless Plug --> I digitize records and have posted a few on YouTube. If interested, go to YouTube and search for the user: "DeadHippieMan" (without the quotes).

Welcome to the site! HHRs aren't as bad as you'd think for price-wise. If you can get used, you save quite a bit on depreciation! I too am in college right now, and I was able to get an HHR! (Sure I'm only going to community college...but still...)

Anyways, welcome to the site!

Another college student here who bought a brand new HHR LT2 that when I took it for a test drive had 26 miles on the clock. I got mine for 15k and I have had it for a year and got 12500 miles on it.
