Hello, Hello
I have a 2011 HHR. I bought it almost new. Unfortunately I had problems with it immediately. I have always had Chevy / GM products all my life. The dealer was my real problem. I am disappointed that they constantly contacted me to sell me stuff but never mentioned the recall until I complained again about the traction, ESC and violent shaking of my car and that I have to put yet another set of tires on my car. On a positive note, the GM rep I am working with is very nice and I think (fingers crossed) she is trying to help me. I am sick and live in Virginia. I was 2 payments away from paying off my Cavalier when my son wrecked it. I have to travel to Duke University Med Center, Cleveland Clinic and Atlanta. I am terrified of my car. They were wonderful to give me a nice rental at no cost and encouraged me to go where I need to. I am working with another dealership and they are crap too. I feel so bad for GM. Every company goes through rough times. I wish them the best. I am trying to stick with them and not get too frustrated.

Welcome, I have an '11 also and seem to have had some of the same problems. I had a battery issue right off the bat (no pun intended) and it shakes pretty good when breaking. I heard these cars are noted to have crappy rotors from the factory that warp. unfortunately they aren't covered by my extended warranty

You can for sure upgrade the brakes, use the search box for the info you need. I would take you car to someone who knows front end and alignment. My performance tires last 25K miles. There is no reason, that you should not be able to get your car to do the same if the front end is tight and aligned

SS brakes aren't going to help your tire problem. You've got something else going on if having to replace tires that often.
What type of tires are you buying? And why are you having to replace them? They couldn't be worn out that soon.
If it's just front tires that are the problem, then find a reputable repair shop. Preferably one that specializes in front end work.

So. After rereading the original post. You stated the car had "violent shaking".
You should give a little more detail. Under braking? When shifting gears? Hitting bumps?
I'm guessing here, but it sounds like maybe under gear shifting changes. That accompanied with the traction/ESC lights, sounds like your car is in a Power Reduced mode.
Fill in some better details and we'll try and help out.
